Author Interview

Ester Lopez

Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we?!

Hi, I’m Ester Lopez and I’m a writer

What prompted you to pursue a career as a writer?

A close encounter back in 1989

Do you have any special writing habits?

I like to use the Snowflake Method to start my writing because it helps me to focus.

When you write a new book, do you already have the whole story in mind or do you elaborate it along the way?

With the Snowflake Method, you start with a one sentence line to describe your story. When I sit down to write that, I already have some characters talking in my head. When I get to the character questions, I learn more about them. While I’m fleshing them out, they start telling me their story. Sometimes, I use a secondary character from another story and give them their own story when they start taking over in the first book. With the Snowflake Method, you keep adding to what you already have, a little at a time.

In your opinion what is the best book you have written? What’s your favourite book ever?

My favorite book is the first one, The Abduction, because it started the series. Each book gets better, I think, so I don’t have a “best” book yet.

How do you feel after writing a book?

I feel like dancing! Then, I want to read something else for a little while before jumping into another book.

Tell us about your latest book and please put the link so our readers can find it.

My latest book will be out in October. It’s book 4 in The Vaedra Chronicles Series called “Aftermath.” I don’t have links for it yet, but I will post it on my website at  or my Facebook page at

Do you have a new release? When? We want details.

My latest release before “Aftermath” is a children’s book, “The Adventures of Charlie and Ellie.” It’s a second grade reader level about two best friends (a Boston Terrier and his best friend, an Australian Shepherd) who get into trouble easily.
The publisher’s site has it available as a hardback at:

Where can we find you on socials? Do you have your own group and want to share it with us?

Yes, I have my own group which we will be doing more things in it. Right now, we have been scheduling Takeovers. It’s on Facebook-Virtual Book Signing & Takeover Group. Besides my Facebook page, I’m on Twitter at , and on Instagram at
