Author Interview

Isobelle Cate

Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we?!

Hi! My name is Isobelle Cate and I’m a paranormal and contemporary romance author. I also occasionally dabble in historical fiction.

What prompted you to pursue a career as a writer?

I have always wanted to write since I was 14. I came out with a story which I showed a family friend who was an author. She said I had potential but still not quite there. But that gave me hope and the determination to be an author one day.

Do you have any special writing habits?

I need to listen to my rock and house music to be able to think. 🙂

When you write a new book, do you already have the whole story in mind or do you elaborate it along the way?

I’m a pantser through and through so I already know what the story will be from beginning to end. I just see to put meat into it.

In your opinion what is the best book you have written? What’s your favourite book ever?

Ooh…tough question! I think it would be Midnight’s Redemption, the 9th book of the Cynn Cruors Bloodline Series.

How do you feel after writing a book?

I feel good. Accomplished. And scared. That’s another baby of mine going out into the world to be liked, loved, or trolled. Writers need to have thick skin.

Tell us about your latest book and please put the link so our readers can find it.

The last book I came out with was Midnight’s Reckoning. It’s the 10th book of the Cynn Cruors Bloodline series. However it’s not a standalone. Readers will need to read Midnight’s Redemption for them to understand Midnight’s Reckoning. They can find Midnight’s Redemption here:

Do you have a new release? When? We want details.

I am writing a short fairy tale retelling of Rumplestiltskin which will come out on October 20, 2020. It’s titled Steele and Skin. You can pre-order it for 99cents from the link below.
