Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we?!
I am an indie-author with three published books (The 4th coming in spring 2021). I write in various genres and enjoy reading a variety works by authors from diverse backgrounds.
What prompted you to pursue a career as a writer?
My foray into the literary world was purely by happenstance. It began with a memoir I had written after the passing of my mother in 2008. That’s when I discovered not only my writing acumen, but also a genuine enjoyment of the process of bringing a story to life and sharing it with others.
Do you have any special writing habits?
Not particularly. I simply go with the flow. When a concept comes to mind, I devote all my energy to developing it. And, the time of day does not matter. However, I do find I’m most creative in the early morning hours.
When you write a new book, do you already have the whole story in mind or do you elaborate it along the way?
I usually start with a general concept and then improvise as the story is developed.
In your opinion what is the best book you have written? What’s your favourite book ever?
The best book I’ve written, in my opinion, is ‘The Vineyard We Knew—A Recollection of Summers on Martha’s Vineyard’, which was my first book. I really don’t have a “favorite’” book, primarily because there are so many great books to read.
How do you feel after writing a book?
I feel a great sense of accomplishment. However, it’s short-lived because my mind soon begins to focus on the next project.
Tell us about your latest book and please put the link so our readers can find it.
My latest book is entitled: Westville. https://amzn.to/2VZr1sh
It’s actually an autobiographical novel about a young boy, Jimmy James, who grows up in a unique community just outside Boston, Massachusetts. He possesses a burning desire to become a professional musician, only to discover the setbacks and disappointments inherent in pursuing such a vocation. Ultimately, Jimmy learns that in the circle of life, what one seeks can sometimes be found at home, where it all began.
Do you have a new release? When? We want details.
My next book is entitled: M/V Islander—Resurrection. (Spring, 2021). It’s a paranormal niche story about the return of an inanimate object (a Ferryboat) and a man’s internal struggle to remain true to his values. It also involves the resumption of a lost commodity, that being honesty, trust, and exceptional customer service.
